Tradition Never Graduates


Tradition Never Graduates is an interview series from the Red Cloud High School Athletic Department that highlights Red Cloud Graduates who have gone on to compete in collegiate athletics and aims to provide insight to the current student-athletes wanting to do the same. In each episode, Christian McGhee (Athletic Director) and a current Red Cloud student-athlete sit down with a Red Cloud Graduate and talk about sports, school, and what to expect at the next level.

 

Episode 1 — Rama Brothers: Adj & Ale — Christian visits with the Rama brothers, Adriano & Alejandro. Adriano is a current Red Cloud Student-Athlete and Alejandro just completed his freshman year with the Men's Basketball Team at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.  



Episode 2 — Class of 2020 — Christian visits with Red Cloud Class of 2020 Grads: Jacobie, Riyen, and Wakiyan. All three will be playing college basketball in the coming year. Riyen and Wakiyan will be attending United Tribe Technical College. Jacobie will be attending Dakota State University.  



Episode 3 — Collegiate Cheer — Christian visits with Kylie, Jacob, and Nevra who have all cheered at the collegiate level. Kylie cheered at Chadron State College, Jacob at Brown University, and Nevra currently cheers at the University of Denver. Also joining the conversation is current Red Cloud student-athlete, Mae.  



Episode 4 — Stevi Fallis — Christian and current student-athlete Stevi sit down with Red Cloud graduate Trista—who plays basketball at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska. They discuss the transition from high school to college both on the basketball court and in the classroom. Trista shares her goals after college and offers advice to the younger student-athletes.
