Red Cloud High School alumni to host athletic camps

Red Cloud High School alumni Christian McGhee ’07 and Paulina Red Star ’07 have returned to their alma mater to host athletic summer camps for students on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

On July 18-19, 2011, Christian who is a senior at Chadron State University majoring in Sports Management and a starting guard for the CSU basketball team will host a basketball camp for K-12 students. The camp will focus on developing basketball fundamentals to master their skills! Christian just returned from the 2011 North American Indigenous Games held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he coached a boys team. The basketball camp is open to all K-12 students and will run for two days at the following times: grades K-4 from 1:00-3:00, grades 5-8 from 4:00-6:00 and grades 9-12 from 7:00-9:00. The cost is $25 for each participant.

Recently hired Red Cloud High School girl’s volleyball coach, Paulina Red Star, will host a volleyball camp for Red Cloud High School students in grades 9-12 from July 20-22, 2011. The camp will run from 1-4 p.m. each day.
