Prior to the building of St. Henry's Church by Fr. Henry Grotegeers, SJ in 1911, Lakota Catechist Joe Horn Cloud had organized St. Henry's camp church for regular meetings and Mass in the early 1900s. St. Henry's church building was moved to the junction near Cuny Table in 1952, only to be returned to its present location at Potato Creek in 1954. Presently, Mass is held once a month. |
