Located on the Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary and School campus, the original Christ the King church was built in 1920. In 1929, after the former mission chapel was converted into a school house, Our Lady of Lourdes grade school was dedicated. Sisters of Humility and Mary were the first congregation to teach at the grade school. In 1941, Fr. Meyers, SJ built the current Christ the King church on the school campus. In 1988 a new school was built and today Our Lady of Lourdes enrolls 180 children. In November 2003 a fire burned into the night destroying the Community Hall.
