 Pine Ridge: Sacred Heart Church
Four miles south of Holy Rosary, the agency village of Pine Ridge was the first parish organized away from the Holy Rosary campus. Services were conducted in a converted store building built in 1880 until a church was completed in 1927. This served the growing community until the present larger Sacred Heart Church complex was dedicated in 1972. The Sacred Heart parish is the largest on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
