About the Instructor
There is a fun new face in the middle school math room this year. Kristen House has made a move from the Guidance office to teaching math.

"After six years of working with the kids on a one to one basis it was time to get back into the classroom as a full time teacher. It was a big adjustment for me: having papers to check nightly and staying ahead of the students after not being in a classroom for 14 years. I love the new contact that I have with the students. I tell my students the only way you're going to become better at Math is to practice, practice, and practice. Its like being out for a sport you have to practice to get better!"

Kristen has lived in Rushville, Nebraska her entire life. She has three children. Her youngest son graduates from high school this year. Her oldest son is an electrician in Wyoming and her daughter is a junior at U.N.O. and majoring in Education. She loves to be around young people and enjoys being outside whenever possible in any kind of weather.
