ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LIBRARY

About the Librarian
Anne McLaughlin is a volunteer working in the middle school and lower elementary school libraries. She first came to Red Cloud in the summers of 2000, 2001 and 2002 to help out at the summer camp after her brother Tim served as a volunteer here for three years. Somehow, things came around full circle for her and her family since her brother also started off working as middle school librarian. She is a recent graduate of Boston College with a degree in Human Development and a minor in Irish Studies. She hopes to continue the progress with the accelerated reader program and reading themes, and I'm looking forward to a great school year.

Donations
The library has received hundreds of high quality books this year, as well as many other useful donated items for the libraries. Thank you very much for your generosity! Many donors would like to know before sending if their books will be helpful at Red Cloud School. The only request that we make of donors is that they strongly deliberate whether their materials would be suitable for their own children or for students in their own school district. Red Cloud has very high standards, and expects as much from students as any other school.

Therefore, we need current, high quality teaching materials and fiction/non-fiction books that are in good condition. We do not want donors to spend money shipping out-of-date items that we cannot use. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Below are copies of the library wish lists. The lists are fairly extensive, but any donation is much appreciated! These lists are posted in Microsoft Word format. If you are unable to read them, please email us at redcloudpr@redcloudschool.org.
