KINDERGARTEN

Meet the Teachers
Mallory Jurgensen
- Hello!  My name is Malloy Jurgensen, and I am the Kindergarten teacher.  I am very excited to begin my first year teaching at Red Cloud Indian School!  I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska.  I graduated from Creighton University in Omaha and am a true Bluejay fan!  Jesuit education has been very important to me and my faith, which drew me to Red Cloud!  I am grateful to be here, and to experience all that will come with being at Red Cloud.  I am a first year RC volunteer, and also apart of the Magis graduate program through Creighton University!  I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten!  I look forward to my year here and working with this wonderful community!  Some of my favorite things include hanging out with my wonderful family and friends, eating home-cooked meals, watching movies, and listening to music.

Angel White Eyes- My name is Angel White Eyes.  I am a graduate of Red Cloud High School and currently working in my second year with AmeriCorps as a Kindergarten Aide.  I hope to go to college and get a degree in Graphic Design.  In my spare time, I enjoy playing videogames, watching movies, taking pictures, reading, and working on my art.  I also tend to get obsessed with foreign love stories (Japanese Drams, Indie movies, anime, etc.), for some reason.  Other than that, I love culture, languages, the color purple, and my family.

Abby Alvin-  Hi, my name is Abby Alvin!  I am a volunteer here at Red Cloud until November 21st.  I am from Wellesley, Massachusetts and yes, I am a huge Red Sox fan!  I graduated from Wellesley High School this past spring and I am only here until Thanksgiving because I am going to attend Miami University of Ohio in January.  I played soccer and lacrosse all four years in high school and always took a drawing and painting class because I love art!  I also enjoy baking and eating ice cream (I am convinced I could live off of it J).  The reason I am taking this semester off is to work at the school and to live with my aunt and uncle in Oglala.  I rarely get to see any family that lives so far away, so it has been so much fun getting to know them better!  I am loving the opportunity to work with the kindergarteners because everyday is completely different—never a dull moment!!  I enjoy experiencing their progress along with their endless amounts of high energy that never fail to bring a smile to my face.
