The Heritage Center Hours & Directions

Admission to The Heritage Center is free, but donations are very much appreciated and continue to support the preservation and programming work of the gallery and gift shop.

Winter Hours (Labor Day to Memorial Day)

Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, 11am-5pm
Closed Sundays, Mondays, and holidays

Summer Hours (Memorial Day to Labor Day)

Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Heritage Center is located on the campus of Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

  • Take Highway 40 south from Hermosa, South Dakota 
  • Take Highway 18 south from Hot Springs, South Dakota 
  • Take Highway 87 north from Rushville, Nebraska
