Each Day at 3:08, the final bell rings and the 240 students of Red Cloud High School are faced with some pretty serious decisions! For some, whichever sport is in season is what will captivate their attention, while others may stay behind to receive individual tutoring from a faculty member. But for a great deal of students, learning continues in a fun and laid back style with the After School Program. The After School Program runs Monday through Thursday each week, and includes a wide variety of clubs and student groups that are specifically tailored to student interest, following the schedule listed below. Study Hall, a quiet place for students to work on homework, is available every day the After School Program runs. Students for all clubs should meet in the Student Lounge immediately after school to sign in. Club moderators will bring students to club locations from there.
The After School Program began in the year 2000 with the goal of providing a quiet study environment for the students of Red Cloud High School. Since those early days, the After School Program has blossomed into a program that is inclusive of every one of our student’s interests and passions. At the onset of the 2004-2005 school year the program is welcoming upwards of 30-40 students a day into a full line-up of clubs, activities and a daily study hall. The hope this year is to continue to develop the after school program by offering a wide variety of clubs that meet our students interests as well as to offer a place where students know they can accomplish their academic goals. |
