Angel White Eyes is a 2008 graduate of Red Cloud Indian School and currently serves as an Advancement Associate on ca
mpus. Angel has been participating in art shows since high school and in June of 2014 she received her Associate Degree in Fine Arts from Oglala Lakota College. Angel’s career has taken off recently and her photos are recieving professional recognition. Last year, Angel won second place in photography division of the Red Cloud Indian Art Show for her piece Tangled Fringe, Rant and she was highlighted by a National Geographic photographer for her talent. Her work has also been featured on Buzzfeed and in other publications.

Dwayne Wilcox

Growing up on the Pine Ridge Reservation, Dwayne could often be found drawing and painting in his free time. Later in life, he utilized the arts to grapple with life’s challenges and celebrations and as a way to reconnect with his community when he was away from home. Though he never imagined he would become one of the most influential ledger artists in the country, today, Dwayne’s stories are now featured in galleries across the country, from Nebraska to New Hampshire, and all the way to the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. We sat down with Dwayne as he was preparing his work for this year’s Red Cloud Indian Art Show to learn more about his artistic journey and what he’s discovered along the way.

Wade Patton 
Mediums: Ink, Oil Pastel, Watercolor, Quilting, Collage, Photography

Wade Patton is a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, was born and raised in Pine Ridge and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Black Hills State University. He is best known for his oil pastel and ledger art work. He currently lives and works near Boston, Massachusetts and work can be found in homes and galleries across the country. Wade's work can be found on display at The Heritage Center and in galleries in Rapid City, South Dakota and Boston, Massachusetts.
