Giving for the future: gifts of opportunities, gifts of hope, gifts of love.

Red Cloud Indian School is a private school in one of the poorest counties of the nation. Red Cloud relies on the generosity from people like you to keep it's door open for the 600 Lakota children who attend during the school year. With no government subsidies, over 90% of our operating budget has to be raised each year through private donations. Please consider supporting the Lakota youth by giving a tax deductible donation to our school. There are many ways to support us:

Online
Phone
Automatic withdrawal and credit cards
Securities
Matching gifts
Gift annuities
Wills & Trusts
Pensions/IRA assets
Foundation grants
Named funds and scholarships
Other opportunities

Your support insures the doors of Red Cloud will remain open to the Lakota children on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Your donation provides those opportunities that are otherwise unimaginable due to the 85% unemployment rate and the Reservation's isolated location. (To learn more about the staggering statistics on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, click here.)

Your help guarantees there will be caring and competent teachers in each classroom, school buses to transport them safely, healthy meals (which for some are their only meal of the day), and an education of the mind and heart both today and in the years to come.   You are helping to secure a brighter future for the children of Red Cloud Indian School.

Why choose Red Cloud Indian School? Because the Lakota children do. The 2001 Valedictorian shared these words: "I wanted the best education I could find on the Reservation, which is why I came to Red Cloud.   This school has given me so much.   In everything--from sports to classes and to the other students--I learned how to be more responsible, respectable, and I have gained the desire to learn and succeed at whatever I do."
