When you become a donor to Red Cloud Indian School you enable 600 Lakota children to learn in a healthy, safe environment today and to have the confidence and wisdom to succeed in their dreams of tomorrow. Lakota youth today are surrounded by the negative influence of poverty, unemployment, and substance abuse, but we at Red Cloud Indian School strive to break this cycle through a quality education of the mind and heart. Your donation keeps the doors to Red Cloud's Montessori and kindergarten classrooms, two elementary schools, and high school open. Your generosity fuels the busses that drive over 1,300 miles each day (300,000 miles per year) to safely bring students to and from school. You provide a warm nutritious meal during the day. You provide the resources to hire qualified teachers, counselors, coaches, and staff to educate the students of today, the Lakota leaders of tomorrow. Your contribution to Red Cloud Indian School encourages dreams and creates realities. In 2002 and 2003 Creighton University awarded its highest honor to former graduates of Red Cloud High School, the "Spirit of Creighton" award.
