Red Cloud Indian School introduces new human resources director

Tim Rutledge has been named Red Cloud Indian School’s new director of human resources. The newly-created position for the organization’s three schools, parishes and Heritage Center museum will aid the growing institution in its hiring processes, as well as managing the services, policies and programs of the organization.

“I am excited to welcome Tim to our team,” says Angie Eagle Bull, vice president for finance. “With his outstanding skills and experience, along with his strong belief in the mission of our organization, Red Cloud is about to benefit in so many important ways.”

Rutledge joins Red Cloud after more than 30 years of experience in human resources and others areas of management. He has served as city administrator, development and human resources director and rural development advisor for the City of Anzworth, Nebraska.

He earned an associate of science in civil engineering from Southeast Community College and a bachelor of science in human resource management from Bellevue University.

“I’m really excited about this opportunity to work with the staff of Red Cloud,” says Rutledge. “Since coming to the institution, I’ve been nothing but impressed with the values and beliefs lived out every single day on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. I feel blessed to be part of the institution, and hope to meet everyone very soon.”

In the coming weeks, Rutledge will continue to learn more about the institution and South Dakota state laws, and meet with teachers and staff to discuss their hopes and challenges in their respective positions and departments.
