Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary hosts annual back to school night, picnic Our Lady of Lourdes in Porcupine will ring in the new academic year with an annual Back to School Night on Monday, August 23 beginning at 5 p.m. Parents and students of the school are highly encouraged to attend the special event, a fitting “kick-off” to the 2010/11 academic year. Information about academic programming, extracurricular activities and calendars of events will be discussed. Teachers and staff members will also be on-hand to meet with students and parents. “There are a number of ‘new faces’ each academic year,” says Theresa Lessert, new principal at Our Lady of Lourdes. “This is a fantastic opportunity to get on the same page—to learn more about one another and to continue growing as a community. I look forward to meeting our inspiring students and families.” Our Lady of Lourdes will also host a Back to School Picnic on Thursday, August 26 at 5 p.m. Food and drinks will be provided by the school, and all Our Lady of Lourdes students and families are encouraged to attend.
