by Shannon Grooms, Our Lady of the Sioux Church
posted on March 16, 2010

On March 3, 2010 Red Cloud Indian School’s Grades One through Four Religion Classes held a talent show/fundraiser to benefit Haiti Earthquake victims. The event was held at 6:00 p.m. in the little gym on Red Cloud Indian School’s campus, Pine Ridge, SD. The event brought in $500.

According to Nicole Gutierrez, Religion Teacher for grades one through four, “The kids came up with the idea when we were discussing the earthquake and different ways we could help. They took care of everything, from planning, to providing the entertainment, to making signs advertising the event.” The show included twenty acts ranging from; comedians, dancers, and magicians.
