Red Cloud Indian School all-class reunion set for June
updated on May 13, 2010

Red Cloud Indian School will host an all-class reunion June 4-5, 2010, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. This is the first time such an alumni event has been hosted by the school, which will bring graduates spanning the decades back to their alma mater for two days of fun, education and socializing.

“Much has changed over the years at Red Cloud Indian School,” says Tashina Banks, director of student advancement and alumni support. “We are looking forward to June, when we’ll be able to share with our alumni all the wonderful work and growth that the school has realized thanks to them.”

And, she says, the school hopes that the event will allow alumni to reacquaint themselves with former classmates while developing new relationships with the school.

During the two-day event, alums will be invited to share their stories of success and perseverance. “There are so many incredible stories out there. It’s time to celebrate them,” Banks says.

A schedule of events has been announced, and is posted below.

Alumni wishing to attend the event are encouraged to register now at www.redcloudschool.org. The registration form (click here) also asks alums to update the school on what they’ve been up to since leaving the walls of Red Cloud. Participants who preregister and attend the event will receive a free t-shirt.

For more information, or to get involved, contact Tashina Banks at 605/454-6288 or tbanks@redcloudschool.org. Alumni are also encouraged to get updates on the school and meet former classmates online by accessing the school’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/redcloudindianschool.
