PHOTOS: Red Cloud Indian School celebrates elementary school promotions Red Cloud Indian School celebrated a number of graduations last week, with students participating in commencement ceremonies in kindergarten, eighth grade and high school on the Red Cloud and Our Lady of Lourdes campuses. Join us as we go down memory lane and share in the happiness of the students' accomplishments. Earlier that morning, the kindergarten celebration was in full swing as the 2009 Kindergarten Class at Our Lady of Lourdes celebrated the completion of their first academic year and promotion onto the first grade. Prayer and performances were part of the ceremony, and students were given awards and certificates by their teacher, Ann Sacksteder, for all their hard work and many accomplishments. On Tuesday, May 19, 2009, Red Cloud teachers, parents and friends joined together to celebrate the promotion of the Red Cloud Elementary kindergarten class. The day was marked with performances by the students, and a slide show created by their teacher, Colleen Keller. Students were awarded certificates for the completion of their kindergarten year.
On Thursday, May 21, 2009, the Red Cloud Middle School 8th Grade Class of 2009 filled the Church for their commencement exercises, followed by staff, friends and family. The commencement ceremonies included a Mass and awards ceremony, followed by the awarding of diplomas and a Lakota honoring song. 
The day concluded with a slideshow by their teachers and a prayer by Fr. Peter Klink SJ.
