Lakota Nation Invitational 2009
UPDATED on December 21, 2009

The 33rd Annual Lakota Nation Invitational kicks off this week in Rapid City, South Dakota, with events happening from December 16-20, 2009.

Known as the "Olympics of Lakota Country," LNI brings 16 schools from across the Midwest together to compete in a variety of events. More than half of the students at Red Cloud High School are participating in at least one event this year. Events include Lakota handgames, wrestling, speech, a knowledge and language bowl, and undoubtedly the most popular, basketball.

Be sure to follow our young competitors this week as we give daily updates and highlights directly from the tournament itself on the Red Cloud website. MyTribeTV will also stream events from Rapid City on the web at http://mytribetv.com/.
